Level 3 Certificate in First Response Emergency Care

The QA Level 3 Certificate in First Response Emergency Care (RQF) qualification is specifically designed for designed for those seeking a career in the emergency services, ambulance services, the event medical sector or those who work in high risk workplaces.  It is accepted byt the SIA.

This qualification is based on the following:

Skills for Health Assessment Principles 

The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh – Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care, who also endorse this qualification.  Statement of Endorsement:

The QA Level 3 Certificate in First Response Emergency Care (RQF) has been endorsed by the Faculty of Pre Hospital Care of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. The Qualsafe Awards designed course also complies with the teaching and educational standards of the Faculty as described in the regulations. 


 The course covers the following subjects:

Roles and responsibilities of a first responder

  Medical emergencies

  Adult, child and infant CPR & AED usage
